Droid Incredible 2: Adds camera, bigger screen, global service

HTC
Droid Incredible 2 by HTC for Verizon Wireless
The Droid Incredible 2 by HTC improves upon the previous model with an even bigger screen, a 4-inch super LCD display, runs on a next-generation 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and converts into a 3G Mobile Hotspot that can connect up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices.
Starting April 28, it'll be available through Verizon Wireless for $199.99 with a two-year commitment.
It also boosts the number of cameras by one to include a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera to go along with the dual LED flash 8-megapixel main camera. It joins Verizon Wireless' roster of global-ready smartphones, which includes the Droid Pro and the Droid 2 Global (both by Motorola) with service in more than 200 countries. Of those, more than 125 have networks that take advantage of 3G, or third-generation wireless, speeds.
Like its predecessor, it's a touchscreen smartphone but this one uses the Android 2.2 operating system, rather than version 2.1. Some other highlights:
  • 720p HD video capture plus DLNA to share multimedia content with a compatible TV
  • Adobe Flash Player
  • SRS WOWHD surround sound
  • Automatic face detection
  • Integrated noise-cancellation technology
