Google Chrome Laptop In June

Tomorrow at Google’s I/O developers’ conference, I hear, Google will demonstrate the first commercial versions of its Chrome laptop. This is the quick-starting machine for use largely with cloud-based services.
The devices are made by both Samsung and Acer, and will likely be available in June.Prices are expected to be well under $500.
The manufacturers and timeline are within what Google said at the press conference last December announcing the Chrome laptop.
I used Google’s beta device, the CR-48, extensively. It was a good machine, with the greatest woes around hardware issues like battery and Wifi connectivity. Presumably professional manufacturers have addressed some of that.
